Pulmonary disease-no. Pulmonary hypertension-yes. The pulmonary artery pressure is calculated during an Echo. The formula is 4X (V)2 of the regurgitation flow from the tricuspid valve PLUS the estimated right atrial pressure.

That’s not what echocardiograms are for, but the result may well suggest additional testing that would confirm or deny such a diagnosis.
