My friend is sick. He’s had two operations for Lung Cancer. And could he get a lung transplant after that?

He’s had two operations in about 4 days. And he said he wouldn’t make it. I WON’T believe it because they could do this, a transplant couldn’t they?

yes it is possible ,

A LUNG TRANSPLANT WOULD #1 BE SO FAR PLANNED THAT IT WOULDN’T HELP YOUR FRIEND OUT. THE TIME NEEDED TO FIND A DONOR WOULD TAKE FOREVER.
I JUST GOT HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL WITH AN OXYGEN MACHINE AND A WALKER. SMOKING HAS TAKEN IT’S TOLL ON MY LIFE AS WELL.
I’LL PRAY FOR YOUR FRIEND. THIS IS THE ONLY HOPE I CAN SEE IN OUR FUTURE. BE STRONG AND KEEP PRAYING.

It depends on what his lung capacity is. Last year I was told that in 5-10 years I may need a lung transplant, I still haven’t come to term with it and doubt I ever will so it’s not the kind of thing to be taken lightly. Maybe you should talk to him and ask him to go over all the alternatives with his doctor before he gives up.
