can my baby get an ear infection or lung infection from third-hand smoke?
November 30th, 2009 | by admin |my baby is going on 9 months old.and since the day he was born,i can not get his daddy’s mom to wash her hands,(she says she does but i always have my eye on her & she has lied to me).and then she goes and starts playing with him, even right after she smokes.can my baby still get sick?
No.
1. germs have been around since the begining of mankind. As a matter of fact they have helped us evolve. This clean your hand thing is just an industry trying to make money. Don’t get me wrong, there are germs out there that can get us sick. BUt the majority is ok. Doctor’s have decided that is ok for a child/baby to run a cold. This prepares/makes strond their immune system.
2. If she doesn’t smoke around the baby, is ok. as long as she keeps the smoke away. Just because she smells like it doesn’t mean the baby is going to inhale the smoke.
So, relax! Germs are good for the evolution of mankind and as long as she doesn’t smoke around or near the baby, your baby will grow up healhty

you’d have to define 3rd hand smoke, not washing her hands after smoking is not third hand smoke
