It is so true what …
It is so true what Mr. Riser says about smoking. I smoked for 40 years, grew up with both parents smoking. My husband and I quit smoking cold turkey as nothing else seemed to help. I chewed on licorice, flavored toothpicks, and anything else that has the hand to mouth movement. My goal is to start excersizing which is hard for me to do but I know in the long run it will help tremendously. How about a video on what excersizes copd patients can do?

I’ve been actively …
I’ve been actively studying ways to live with my emphysema for six years now. Material like this needs to be out there, and I think Mike should go on tour! This should be required viewing for anyone diagnosed with respiratory problems. Keep up the FANTASTIC work! People, pay attention, this material will dramatically affect your life for the better if only you listen, learn and apply the lessons. As he says, “Breathe well, my friends.”

COPD is a …
COPD is a debilitating diease that affects everyone in different ways. Some people simply can’t manage it well. I lost my Mom in March this year to pneumonia brought about by her COPD. I miss her dearly. Take care of yourself.

Hey Mike, I also …
Hey Mike, I also have COPD. As it turns out, I work for a home oxygen company. I am on the list for a lung transplant, but am managing my disease pretty well. My docs can’t figure out how I am still able to work for 45-50 hours a week, exercise and manage to raise a little now and then. My last PFTs showed a % of predicted of 26% Hope all goes well with you buddy. NEVER GIVE UP THE FIGHT!!!!!!

This guy is a good friend of mine. His whole family sort of adopted me shortly after moving next door to his mother 22 years ago. They are good people. So not only is he a dear friend and “adopted brother”, he is also a great source of joy and inspiration. I bow to him for making this video. Not only has he been living with COPD for quite sometime now, he also goes out of his way to help others with COPD. I’m proud of you, Mikey. Love you Bro!

Thank you, Mr Riser …
Thank you, Mr Riser! I am an athlete and a dancer who has been smoking for 10 years. I’ve had COPD for about 3 years and only recently learned what this abnormality I’ve been going through really is. I typically go a week without smoking and then because I start to breathe better I start smoking again and then I feel worse than ever (complete debilitation, embarassement, light headedness) I am in the throes of a vicious cycle.
