Yes it could be that your back needs cracked. You should go have it checked out just to make sure….especially since you have a bleeding disorder….Does the area your lungs hit stop you from continuing to expand your lungs?

male, 25 years old and skinny (been skinny all my life though). No drink or smoke and i was diagnosed with atopic eczema since i was little. I’ve been stressing a lot lately.

For the past 4 months now (after a flu) i have some weird symptoms that are debilitating. Some are hard to explain. H. Pylori is the only thing doctors found after a series of blood tests, EKG, chest x rays, nuclear scans for the chest, and breathing tests. No asthma but the only doubtful thing was that i couldn’t fully expire all the air out. I’m seeing a respiratory specialist and he’s still trying to figure out what’s wrong with me. He suggested it could be anxiety, a muscular disorder or lack of fitness or some kind of post-viral fatigue AKA fibromyalgia. He says he can hear a "whoosh" sound at the back but no sign of heart or lung disorders. He ordered some CT scans on chest now and fitness test.

I spent the last 4-5 years sitting in front of the pc for long hours without taking needed breaks. Perhaps it’s bad posture?

Symptoms:
* a shortness of breath that feels like having a book on top of my abdomen all the time. Gets worse on minimal exertion.
* tightness along the left chest/rib wall ( gets worse when i lift up my left arm or try to walk straight, i have to bend forward)
* pressure. I don’t know where but it can happen in my head, stomach, back, left arm.
* Lightheaded. Sometimes i feel i’m going to black out or pass out.
* Weakness? Fatigue? sometimes i feel my whole body is going to paralyse. I’m doing something simple such as cooking and i start feeling weak and i have to sit down for 30-45 mins because i can’t stay up. This affects my speech, swallowing, breathing etc.
* i see my left rib cage kinda "swollen" all the time or is pushing outwards a bit
* struggle to focus
* struggle to relax, i feel tense most of the time
* sore eyes
* occasional headaches
* easy to forget things
* face feels hot all day, gets better at night.

Movement such as travelling in a car can trigger the first 4 symptoms. It’s not the usual nausea some people feel it’s much worse and scarier than that. Exercise makes me sick too so i have to stay home all day without doing much. Can’t go to college or work anymore.

Any suggestions? cos i’m lost. thanks and sorry for the long post.

YOU’RE ALLERGIC TO ASPARTAME!!!

The CT scan of your left lung will be interesting.

Even if it isn’t the problem, seeing a chiropractor to correct your posture would be good.

Not all blood tests find something you’re reacting to. They test for common things like gluten, but an undetected culprit of health problems is artificial sweeteners.

I recently had chronic hives, but as soon as I stopped eating a brand of sugar free chocolate, the hives stopped. My eczema is worse than ever, but the hives have gone. The problem was a sweetener called maltitol. As soon as I googled that and hives, Google came up with endless pages linking the two.

The most notorious artificial sweetener is aspartame. It’s numbered 951. It’s in a lot of products. Maybe check the ingredients of what you’re eating. Remove it and see what happens.

Scroll down and look at the side effects to people allergic to nutrasweet (Aspartame (951)) http://www.sweetpoison.com/aspartame-side-effects.html

How did u know ur baby had it?
My baby seems to have a cold, runny nose, coughing and sneezing sometimes..
I just read in babycenter.com and will quote something that made me scared:
My baby has cold symptoms. Could it be RSV?

Maybe. Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infects most children sooner or later (usually before the age of 2). It often starts out with cold symptoms. In fact, for many babies and young children, the virus is no more troublesome than a cold.

For a few, though, mild cold symptoms (such as a runny nose, a minor cough, and a low fever) develop into a more pronounced cough, labored breathing, and sometimes wheezing. Your baby may also be irritable and restless and have a poor appetite.

It’s important to call the doctor if you think your baby may have RSV, because the virus is the most common cause of two lung disorders in babies, bronchiolitis (which swells the small airways and fills them with mucus, blocking airflow) and pneumonia (an infection and inflammation of the lungs). Either of these conditions can be dangerous — even deadly — for babies, particularly those younger than 6 months.

RSV can also lead to ear infections.
Deadly? I need to know if my son has/will have SRV asap!

Help!
I just wanted to add that my baby is 4 months old.

My son got RSV a couple months ago (at 18 months old).
He had a runny nose with a cough and a 104º fever.
I immediately took him to the ER (it was 2am) when I noticed he was breathing heavy.
It DID look like an ordinary cold, the only thing that worried me was the heavy breathing. He had been sleeping for about 2 hrs. and he was breathing extremely heavy, like he had just ran a marathon.
When I took him to the ER they said that his oxygen levels were a little low and they gave him oxygen (from a Nebulizer) and we stayed there for about 4 hrs. until they got his temperature down.
I was given a Nebulizer to bring home, and instructions to keep his fever down by giving him Infant Tylenol and Infant Motrin.
He was over the RSV within a week.

His Doctor told me that *most* babies will get RSV before the age of 2 and not even know it, they will brush it off as a ‘common cold’. It’s NOT dangerous if it’s detected early and treated. It’s only dangerous if you ignore the symptoms and they get worse and worse ..

My friends son is the one who gave it to my son (he’s 6 days older than my son) and she did NOT take her son to the Doctor (even though I literally begged her to) .. her son DID end up getting Pneumonia and water on his right lung.
He was given shots in the leg and some medication. He’s fine now.

RSV is common and not dangerous if it’s treated properly.
Just make an appointment with your child’s Doctor as soon as possible so they can do the RSV test (it’s a nose swab).

Time to leave him. Maybe losing you will be jarring enough for him to quit. If you care about him more as a person though than as a boyfriend, you may want to drop a line to his parents, or someone else important to them. Just so they know his addiction is still going, and he’s now lost his girlfriend because of it.

.

Yes. It’s called Biophyscial 250. There are two versions . . one is the full service and costs $3,400 and the other does half the tests at half the cost which is approximately $1,495.

It might be useful in establishing a baseline for your overall health.

Anxiety and panic cause breathlessness but can the vice versa be true?

Anything that increases you levels of stress can cause anxiety. Few people realise that as many as 4% of the population have Global Anxiety Disorder and as many as 15% have other anxiety issues. However studies show vast variations on these numbers depending on the diagnostic criteria.

I am 24 and have a pacemaker. I have had so many odd things the doctors can’t explain like extremely fast heart rates only with excertion. Low oxygen 80% with excertion. Orthostatic intolerance. I get shortness of breath, tightness in throat, chest pressure/pain, lower jaw pain/numbness, lightheaded. So far doc’s told me I have pots(postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) and inappropriate sinus tachycardia, but they do not know why my oxygen is 100% rest and 80% with exercise. They have mentioned a shunt in lungs but can’t locate it. Some one please help. I am desperate. I am sick of going to hospital I am only 24 yrs old.

Perhaps you need to go to a center that sees the unusual cases routinely. Mayo Clinic would be a good choice, or Johns Hopkins or Cleveland Clinic- if you are a military dependent, Walter Reed gets all the rare stuff.
Go where the experience and brainpower are—

Although the insurance company my mother has through work will help, we were told we should start small and raise money. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where we should begin to look for fund-raising information. Or if anyone had any good fund-raising ideas. I realize that this requires a lot of time and hard work. Let me know if you have any idea’s, no matter how small.

I have done some fundraisers for the Relay for Life before… I know its a little different, but some things I often did was go to restaurants and asked them if i could hold a fundraiser there… I know applebees and texas roadhouse let the relay for life do fundraisers there… my parents also rented out a hall and did a beef and beer where they had their friends and family buy tickets for themselves and others that would go and they did raffles… I know lots of people who have done car washes and even stood outside of a grocery store collecting money…. good luck!!!
